Wembley Egg-stravaganza

Published on 14th of March 2018

On Wednesday 14th March, there was a rather strange arrival of an egg-tra large mystical egg in the quad!
An Emergency Assembly was called and children wrote news reports in role as roving reporters to report on this mysterious event.
The following week, the author and illustrator, M.P. Robertson made a memorable visit to our school to share his passion for books and drawing.
M.P. Robertson has been an established author and illustrator for over 25 years with a number of books published all over the world.  His best-selling book, The Egg, has been published in 12 countries.
In a whole school assembly (Years 1 to 6), M.P. Robertson shared his passion for stories and showed how an idea develops from a scribble to a whole picture book.  Some year groups also participated in workshops with the inspiring author.
At the end of the day, children also had the fabulous opportunity to purchase a signed copy of M.P.Robertson’s book, The Egg and other titles which included Frank n Stan, How to Grow and Eat Monster Veg, Dare to Care for a Pet Dragon.
I am sure you agree, these certainly were egg-citing times at Wembley!
