In line with government guidance we will be opening school for all children on Monday 8th March. We will again continue to follow the school’s Risk Assessment for the full opening of school which can be found on our website. School attendance is again mandatory. Please contact me or a member of the senior leadership team if you have any concerns regarding attendance.
I would please like to take this opportunity to reiterate some expectations in line with the school’s risk assessment. The school gates will open at 8.30, this is to prevent congestion at the school gates. Classes open at 8.35. We will continue to extend the soft start slightly at the beginning of the day, the school gates will close promptly at 9am. If you arrive after this time you must register at the reception area since class registers will be closed.
At the end of the day, to enable a steady flow of families entering and leaving the site, we will continue with staggered times. Reception and years 1, 2 & 3 can be picked up from 3pm-3.20pm. Year 4 and 5 from 3.20pm-3.30pm and year 6 at 3.30pm. Social distancing continues to be important as a preventative measure.
All adults and older siblings entering the school grounds must wear a school mask unless exempt. This is just one of the many actions taken in school to prevent the transmission of the virus. We want to ensure that we can, as far as possible, keep our school community safe and keep bubbles/classes open.
If you loaned a laptop over the period of lockdown we will be in touch with you to inform you of the expected date when it must be returned. Please do not return the laptop before this date, this enables us to manage their return effectively.
We are, in line with government guidance on wraparound care, considering the reopening of our breakfast club. At the moment we want to assess the demand for our Breakfast Club. Breakfast club runs between 7:15 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. The cost would remain at £4 a session or £7 for siblings. If you require before school childcare to enable you to work or study please contact us through the home learning email by Monday 1st March.
Email, firstname.lastname@example.org , stating if you would want to use the Breakfast Club from the 8th March or after Easter 19th April.
I am looking forward to seeing all our children returning to school on Monday 8th March.
